Nurse dies of dengue in Kalimpong sub-divisional Hospital

Darjeeling : A nurse at the Kalimpong sub-divisional hospital died Tuesday from dengue while en route to another hospital in Siliguri, as 16 others were being treated for the disease. The 47-year-old nurse, Padma Golay, who was admitted on October four with high fever was found positive for NS 1 and IGA, Sub-divisional Medical Officer Dr D Sonam said.The state BJP is considering of filing a PIL against the state government for its alleged misuse of public money. "Talks are on within the party. We will most probably file a PIL after the puja as the state has been misusing public money by ways of gifts, grants and utsavs," senior BJP leader Shamik Bhattacharya said at a press conference on Tuesday, while releasing a book on Narendra Modi.Bengal Leads, the annual industrialists meet arranged by the state government every year, will be held in Kolkata in January. This was decided Tuesday at a meeting held at Nabanno. Last year, the summit organised to attract investments, was held at Haldia.
