KS Tobgay, Secretary of the LRDM Department passes away

Gangtok : Chief Minister Pawan Chamling and his wife Tika Maya Chamling have expressed profound sorrow and anguish on the sudden demise of KS Tobgay, secretary of the Land Revenue and Disaster Management Department. A message from the chief minister’s office stated that KS Tobgay was an amicable, calm, soft-spoken, hardworking and an upright person with impeccable integrity. During his tenure as head of the LRDM department, Tobgay displayed his ability as a capable administrator and a good human being. The chief minister remembered Tobgay as a well-natured and thorough gentleman, and an experienced bureaucrat of the state administration well-versed in administrative matters. His loss has created a great void in the state, added the message. The chief minister wished strength and courage to Tobgay’s family members in this hour of sorrow and grief. Tobgay, who had also served as secretary of the Tourism and Information and Public Relations Department, passed away on Friday evening due to a cardiac arrest, said family sources.
