WhatsApp temporarily pulled from Windows Phone Store

WhatsApp has disappeared from the Windows Phone store. Search for the app states, “We couldn’t find a match. Try a different spelling or search term.” WhatsApp has informed WPCentral that the app has been removed from the Windows Phone Store to address technical issues. The report further states that WhatsApp will be back on the store, only when the issue is fixed. WhatsApp has apologized for the inconvenience and is said to be working closely with “Microsoft to resolve the issues and hope to return to the store shortly”. The search results in devices running Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 do not show the app. However, it is believed to be working properly for the existing users. As Windows 8.1 is crucial for Microsoft, the company wants to ensure that the app doesn’t offer a compromised experience. There is no word on how much time; it would take to fix the issue. While WhatsApp is looking to double its user base to a billion in one year, it has been facing some hiccups in terms of smooth functionality. Last week, yet again, it went down for some users. It faced delays in sending messages, some messages were shown as sent but never reached the recipient, and so on.
