Five-day book fair at Namchi Public School, Sikkim

NAMCHI : The ongoing five-day book fair at Namchi Public School has completed its third day of functioning. The fair was inaugurated by NPS principal Rev Fr. George A D’Souza on November 15 wherein he stressed on the importance of inculcating book-reading habits, especially by students. The school has invited other schools and colleges of the neighbourhood to attend the fair. Scholastic India Pvt Ltd, the subsidiary of Scholastic International, renowned publisher and distributor of children’s books, is the major publication house participating in the book fair. The fair will end on November 19 and students are thoroughly enjoying it, added NPS sources.
