New constitution in Nepal on January 22 at any Cost: DPM Gautam

KATHMANDU : Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bam Dev Gautam has said that the new constitution would be promulgated on coming January 22 at any cost. Saying that the new constitution would be promulgated through consensus as soon as possible, Deputy Prime Minister Gautam said it would be done even going for voting process if consensus was not forged on the disputed issues. At a programme organised by the CPN-UML party office, Gorkha, on Wednesday, he said, "The government would promulgate the new constitution on the slated time at any cost." DPM Gautam further said that the government has completed home works to face the situation arising after the promulgation of new constitution. He also urged all to be confident that the new constitution would be promulgated on the slated time.The Home Minister arrived here to declare Gorkha as open-defecation free zone.
