Suspicious Death of girl who had recently returned from Bihar

Namchi : A five year-old-girl died of suspicious injuries at the Namchi district hospital. Doctors have suspected sexual abuse to minor girl. The minor had been admitted to the district hospital on 20 September after being referred by Jorethang PHC. The medical reports indicates a case of sexual assault on the minor, but parents have denied any such incident, it is informed. Doctors examined her thoroughly and provided all necessary treatment but could not save her as her condition deteriorated. The girl’s relative in Nayabazar inform that she had recently returned from a visit to her native village in Bihar. She had reportedly returned with suspicious wounds and injuries which led many to suspect that she was a victim of sexual assault.
