SDF will not tolerate violence: Tika Maya Chamling

JORETHANG : Tika Maya Chamling, wife of Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, today attended a meeting and took stock of ongoing preparations here for the Sikkim Democratic Front’s 22nd foundation day on March 4. Referring to the recent clashes with the SKM, she said the SDF does not believe in violence and will not tolerate it either. “We are a party upholding high ideologies unlike those who are trying to disrupt peace in the state,” she added. Chamling said CCTV cameras will be installed in vantages areas of town to help the police and ensure security during the programme on Tuesday. She urged party workers and supporters not to panic amid the current political situation and encouraged them to work together to make the event a grand success.
