Only Narendra Modi can help hills get Gorkhaland : GJM

MIRIK : The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha Mirik unit President Phubi Rai said only BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has talked openly about the plight of Gorkha and can help pave way for the formation of Gorkhaland. He said, “In the history of Indian Politics none of the national party other than BJP has come ahead and talked about formation of Gorkhaland. They can help us realise our long standing dream. We are hopeful the dream of thousands of hill people will be fulfilled once the BJP forms the government in the center.” Rai pointed out GJM is the only party from the hills which has actively and honestly supported BJP for many years. “I am sure they will respect the alliance and help us form Gorkhaland,” he added. “People know about the efforts put by the GJM over the years for the demand of a separate state. Our sacrifices and agitations will not go to waste, as it has strengthened out stand on the demand,” he emphasised. He highlighted a number of development works being conducted by the GTA and various activities by the party units across the hills. He also claimed GJM-supported BJP candidate for Darjeeling SS Ahluwalia will win this year’s LS election with a huge margin.
