CM Pawan Chamling holds meeting with department Heads

Gangtok : Chief Minister Pawan Chamling convened a meeting of heads of departments at the Chintan Bhawan, the first official gathering after he was sworn in as the chief minister of the state for the fifth successive term. Chamling told the august gathering his government has received a clear mandate of the people to return to power once again. Urging his ministers and bureaucrats to use the mandate positively to serve the people of the state, he said the people’s support should be respected while implementing policies and programmes. Further, the chief minister was specific in directing the HODs to expedite the implementation of all schemes and programmes of the government and urged them to take effective decisions as also to avoid delaying file movements at all costs. Chamling thanked and expressed his gratitude towards the chief election officer and all other officials of the election department, district collectors and other officers involved in the election process for efficiently conducting the polls. He said, "My government will use the mandate in favour of the people of Sikkim and continue working in their interest."
