Following the same trend, the TMC organized its organizational meeting at the Gorkha Jan Pustakalaya in Kurseong today, where the speakers mainly gave motivational speeches to boost up the confidence of the party workers, ahead of the poll results and appealed them to once again come forward actively for the overall development of the hills.
The state youth secretary said all the people including the TMC supporters in the hills are in a dilemma and curious over the outcome of the Lok Sabha result for Darjeeling constituency. “The hill people should understand even if the TMC candidate Bhaichung Bhutia wins or loses the election, people should not be bothered about it as even after nation’s independence the Darjeeling hills was not yet been freed.
However, under the leadership of the party chief, Mamata Banerjee, democracy has now been ensured and Darjeeling hills is in bliss today and enjoying the freedom which was missing,” he claimed.
