NIT Sikkim PhD Admissions 2016: Apply before December 16
Gangtok : For admissions to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Sikkim has invited applications in various departments for the session 2016. Before December 16, eligible and interested candidates can apply for the admissions.

- Social Sciences (Economics and English)
All those aspirants who are interested in applying for admissions should have obtained a Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology with at least 65 per cent marks or equivalent grade or a Master’s degree in Science with first class marks or minimum 55 per cent marks or equivalent grade. Or the aspirants should have obtained a Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, with minimum 75 per cent marks or equivalent grade (For SC/ST candidates a relaxation of 5 per cent marks or its equivalent grade will be considered.)
- GATE/CEED score
- CSIR/ UGC/ NBHM/ DBT/ DST award or fellowship
- Minimum one year of professional experience.
- Minimum six months project work experience in the institute.
On the basis of written examination and/or interview, the candidates will be selected.

You are required to send the duly filled applications, along with a demand draft to “Assistant Dean (Academic Affairs), National Institute of Technology Sikkim, Ravangla, South Sikkim-737 139”.

Application fee:
You are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500 (Rs 100 for SC/ST) through demand draft, drawn in favour of “Director, NIT Sikkim”, payable at Ravangla.

December 16, the last date for sending the applications.
