The performance of ‪Gorkha‬ candidates in Assam Assembly Elections 2016

Guwahati : Congratulations elected ‪MLA‬ Bhaskar Sharma Daju and Ganesh Limbu Lunga from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) - two new first time Gorkha Member of Legislative Assembly. They replace heavy weight Congress leaders Pradyut Bordoloi and ‪Tanka Bahadur Rai‬ from Margherita, India and ‪Barchalla‬ Sonitpur constituencies of Assam. Former Parliamentary Secretary and Ex MLA ‪‎Sanjay Raj Subba‬ , ‪Rupak Sarma‬ of Indian National Congress lost from ‪Nowboicha‬ and ‪Behali‬. Jyoti Subba‬ Ind and ‪‎Khemraj‬ Chhetry Left too lost from ‪‎Sootea‬.
