Gorkha Boy Nirupam Sharma selected to be scientist in Indian Space Research Organization ( ISRO)
Mirik : Since his childhood, he was passionate about machines. When he talked of designing equipment, his parents never thought that what their son desired to do would come true one day. Nirupam Sharma, a 23-year old from Okayti Tea Estate, has tasted success after getting a degree from National Institute of Technology. Nirupam has been selected to become a scientist at Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) - the country's premier institution on space technology. This Gorkhay lad tasted success after securing rank 88 during All India level examination which was held few months ago.
Son of Bishwakavi and Bishnukala Sharma, Nirupam has been raised in a middle-class family. He had tough competition from peers but as they say fortune smiles on the brave and Nirupam found success. Nirupam completed his schooling from Little flower English School(5),Lewis English School (10),Vidya Vikash Academy Darjeeling(12) and completed B.Tech from Surendra Institute of Engineering and Management Siliguri and M.Tech from NIT, Silchar.
