Assam Rifles make it to 6th GTC Challenge Trophy Final

GUWAHATI – Assam Rifles soccer team made to the final of the 6th GTC Challenge Trophy with a convincing 2-0 goal victory against ASEB Sports Club. In the well contested first semifinal played at the Judges’ Field here today, after a barren first session, Tashi Pinso Bhutia scored the first goal for the winning team in the 70th minute while Ajit Kumar Singh added another in the 80th minute. The riflemen were in a better shape and kept the ball under their control for most of the time. In the second semifinal tomorrow, OIL will take on Green Valley Sports Club.
