Wanted in abduction case, 2 Nepali nationals nabbed

BHOPAL: A citizen of Nepal, an alleged mastermind in kidnapping case, wherein a woman abducted her niece, was arrested at Bhopal railway station on Saturday when they were trying to escape with the woman. Two SIM cards of Nepal and a passport were seized from him. Besides, a mobile and a local SIM card were also recovered. The accused, identified as Santosh Thapa, 28 and Krishna Thapa, are residents of Piplani. The abduction had taken place on February 1. Krishna Bai went with the minor on pretext of going out to attend nature's call and later took her to Santosh, who demanded Rs 3 lakh from her father. 

The matter was reported to the police and the girl was recovered a day later from a bus near Sehatganj in Raisen. However, the duo Santosh Thapa and Krishna Bai was missing. Police said Santosh is married. He came here for work and got close to Krishna. The duo planned the abduction so that they could go back to Nepal with money and settle there. The two were in the city for the past two months and the man even started working as watchman at a building in Shyamla Hills. Not knowing his movements were tracked through mobile tower location, the two were caught, police added.
